Position Overview

Azad Jammu & Kashmir Medical College Muzaffarabad seeks applications for the contractual role of Assistant Professor across various clinical and basic science departments.

  • Pathology
  • Surgery

  • Paeds

  • Behavioral Science
  • Accident & Emergency

Qualifications and Pay

Candidates are required to meet the eligibility criteria defined by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC). The monthly pay package for an Assistant Professor is PKR 200,000/-.

Terms and Conditions for Contract Appointment

Appointments are purely on a contract basis initially for 03 years (extendable) as per Contract Policy 2006 of GoAJ&K or as specified by the Government.
Vacancies will be filled on merit, with preference given to AJK nationals.
Selected candidates must adhere to PM&DC rules and regulations.
The contract can be terminated by either side with 30 days prior notice or one month's pay in lieu thereof.
Monthly salary is subject to tax deduction at source.
Age limit is as per Govt./PM&DC policy.
Other matters follow GoAJ&K rules.
Appointees must join within the prescribed period after receiving the offer letter.
Selected faculty must be physically present for a minimum of six hours daily during working days.

  • Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) covering the post applied for and personal attributes.
  • Four recent attested photographs.
  • Attested Photocopy of CNIC, State Subject, and Domicile Certificates.
