Job Overview

Azad Government of the State of Jammu & Kashmir, Electricity Department Circle Muzaffarabad, is seeking applications from eligible candidates for permanent positions of Assistant Lineman (BPS-07). These vacancies are being filled in light of the AJK Cabinet decision dated 09/08/2024 and Notification No. Admin/9129-39 dated 09/10/2024 regarding the restructuring of the Electricity Department. The positions are within the Operation Division Jhelum.

• Sub-Division Sharah (سب ڈویژن شارع): 05 Posts

Matriculation from a recognized Board/University.

Conditions (شرائط)

1. Recruitment against these permanent vacancies will be made in accordance with the Government Rules dated 02/09/2010.
2. Appointments of ad-hoc/contract employees previously made against the aforementioned posts are not included in this advertisement as per the circular of the Services and General Administration Department No. Admin/M-2/(2)/2024 dated 16 December 2024. However, temporary employees of the Electricity Department are eligible to apply based on the prescribed educational qualification.
3. The age limit for candidates is 18 to 40 years.
4. Employees of other government departments are eligible to apply through their proper departmental channels.
5. Applications must be accompanied by attested copies of educational certificates, professional certificates (if any), domicile, state subject certificate, and National Identity Card (CNIC). Educational certificates must have been issued before the closing date of applications.
6. Candidates must secure at least 40% marks in the written test to be eligible for the interview.
7. Original CNIC and educational certificates must be presented at the time of the interview.
8. Applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria (educational qualification, professional qualification, age, quota, etc.) will be rejected.
9. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the test/interview.
10. The written test for eligible candidates will be held on 21/06/2025 at 11:00 AM at Government Degree College, Muzaffarabad.
