Position Overview: Academic Supervisor

SCSPEB invites applications for the position of Academic Supervisor. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of education by providing academic support, monitoring educational activities, and mentoring teaching staff within focused refugee villages in Balochistan. This position requires a strong commitment to educational development and the ability to work effectively in diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular classroom observations to assess teaching methodologies and student engagement.
• Monitor the implementation of curriculum and educational programs.
• Provide mentoring and professional development support to teachers.
• Ensure adherence to local education system procedures and curriculum standards.
• Promote foundational literacy and numeracy skills among students.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on academic progress and challenges.
• Collaborate with community members and stakeholders to support educational activities.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Education: Having Master's Degree in Social Sciences & a professional degree in Education (Certificate in Teaching/Associate Degree in Education/Primary Teacher Certificate/Bachelor of Education/Master of Education). Candidates with higher qualifications may be given preference.
• Experience: Having Minimum Two (2) years' experience of Classroom Observation, Monitoring & Mentoring in education.
• Language Skills: Must have command on English, Urdu & Pashtu.
• Knowledge: Good command in local Education system, procedures & curriculum. Good knowledge on foundational literacy & numeracy.

Duty Station and Travel Requirements

The duty station for this position will be in Focused Refugee Villages within Balochistan. The role requires a willingness to travel extensively in intensive areas of Balochistan and a willingness to stay in the field as needed.
